Hot Like Summer

The Summer’s Must See Festivals

Other than summer, Vancouver is kind of s rainy city. When it rains the temperature drops, it becomes very cold. However in summer, the weather is really good. It is usually sunny, and it is not that hot. Because the weather is soooooo good in summer, there are dozens of festivals held in summer. Here are some festivals that you really have to enjoy. Are you hesitant because of the money? Oh dude, you don’t have to. I’m going to introduce free festivals.

This year this festival starts on June 18 and finishes on June 20. If you attend this festival you can recieve pleasure from many things. First of all you can spot Dragon Boat Racing. It is quite interesting thing. Close to 180 teams will attend this year’s racing. Oh…You never heard of it? You can enjoy not only dragon boat racing but also variety things such as World Beat Stage, other country’s cuisine, paddler’s party and shopping all around the Science world. You can take a Sky train and get off at the Science World station.

There is not much information about this year’s festival. It is a competition. Last year four countries competed with each other. This festival is held in English Bay.It starts at 10 p.m. If it rains it doesn’t delay. As you know fireworks usually make people feel happy. If you are tired of your daily routine, go and see the fantastic fireworks. I can tell it will be one of the best fireworks you have ever seen. Last year it started on July 22. But there is no specific information about this year. I’ll link the Celebration of Light website and you can keep an eye on it if you are interested in this festival.

This year from July 24 to 25, there will be held a huge festival in North Vancouver’s Waterfront Park. You can enjoy the Multicultural Street Parade. This parade will start on July 24, 10:00 a.m. And also there is one more interesting parade, the Children’s Carnival Parade. It starts on July 25, 2:00 p.m. You can see kids in really cute costumes. Furthermore there are tons of events there. There are many DJs who will spin exciting music. There is also International Food Fair so you can taste a variety of cuisine there. Artists will also attend this festival, so you can buy extraordinary clothing, arts and crafts. You can take the Seabus from Waterfront station and when you get off at Lonsdale Quay, Waterfront Park is right next to Lonsdale Quay.

So see you guys at these festivals. Will you say hello to me?
